Every woman is at risk for ovarian cancer, regardless of age, heritage, and/or medical history. In the USA, it will afflict 1 in 55 women; over 20,000 women are diagnosed each year and over 15,000 will die. Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecological diseases because the symptoms only "whisper" and too many women do not listen which results in a late diagnosis; my mother was one of these women and she lost her battle at age 54.
